Aden teachers are demanding the settlement of salaries in proportion to the high cost of living

The Southern Teachers Syndicate organized a protest in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Education in the capital, Aden, to demand the rights of teachers and improve their living conditions.
In a special statement, Professor Muhammad Nasser Al -Naqeeb, a member of the Southern Teachers Syndicate, and head of the Control and Inspection Department of the Parents Council, Sheikh Othman, confirmed that this stand comes in response to the demands of thousands of teachers who suffer from the deterioration of economic conditions and not to meet their financial dues.
He explained that the union demands:
1. Settlement of salaries in proportion to the high cost of living.
. 2 .. Pay the bonuses due to the 2011 employees retroactively.
3. Find quick solutions to ensure the stability of the educational process without prejudice to the rights of teachers.
The spokesman pointed out that the union had previously sent several official claims to the concerned authorities, but it did not receive any actual response, which led them to escalate through this stand.
The teachers called during the standing of the government to respond immediately to their demands, stressing that the continued ignorance of their rights may lead them to take other escalatory steps in the coming days.
