Minister Al-Zaouri meets the country director of Save the Children in the capital, Aden

His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Zaouri, met in his office in the capital, Aden, with Mr. Beate Rohr, the new country director of Save the Children in Yemen.
During the meeting, His Excellency Minister Al-Zaouri welcomed Mr. Rohr as a country representative of the organization in our country, noting the organization’s role in strengthening the partnership with the Ministry and advancing child protection programs for the better, according to a clear vision and strategy that is consistent with the national plan for child protection, which the Ministry works in partnership with the organization UNICEF to launch it soon.
Minister Al-Zaouri also called for coordination with the Ministry and referring to it before selecting local partners, as it is the body concerned with implementing protection programs and supervising the work of local organizations and institutions.
For his part, Mr. Beate Rohr said that he was happy to meet the first government minister in the capital, Aden, Dr. Muhammad Al-Zaouri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, at the beginning of his new mission as country director of the Save the Children Organization in Yemen, according to the good reputation and what the organization’s officials confirmed about the ministry’s role. The pivotal role in social protection and child protection programs, and its role in facilitating the work of organizations, and enabling them to implement their programs in various regions.
The UN official expressed the organization's readiness to implement its programs and projects in the field of child protection in coordination with the Ministry and in accordance with the needs submitted by it and included in the National Protection Plan.
The meeting was attended by Saleh Mahmoud Abu Suhail, Undersecretary for the Social Welfare Sector, Fayza Abdel Majeed, Acting Undersecretary for the Development Sector, and Abdel Nasser Thabet Nasr, the Ministry’s Coordinator for the Social Welfare Organization. From Save the Children, Mr. Emanol Evot, Director of the organization’s office in the capital, Aden, Ammar Fares, Director of Government Relations, and Aziz Khaled, Director of the Eco Project.
