Today, a group of vision hospitals for ophthalmology and retina surgery opened the first specialized laboratory for industrial eye manufacturing in the capital, Aden, in a step that is a qualitative boom in the service of eye patients.
Dr. Muhammad Omar bin Haid, Director of Vision Hospital, cut the tape to mark the opening of the factory at the vision hospital in Al -Sanarfa neighborhood, in the presence of a number of officials and doctors working in the hospital who received this opening with a warm applause.
Dr. Bin Haid emphasized that the laboratory that opened today works with the technology of industrial eyes manufacturing using the 3D technology, a modern technique that is a qualitative shift in the treatment of war wounded who lost one or both of their eyes, where they were in the past forced to travel abroad to conduct Such expensive operations.
Bin Haid pointed out that the artificial eyes that are manufactured with 3D fingerprint technology are characterized by its accuracy and full suitability for the healthy eye, where the sizes and criteria for the eye are taken to fit precisely with the shape of the face, which gives the patient natural results.
Dr. Bin Haid explained that the factory aims to provide industrial eyes to the injured, whether as a result of the war or accidental incidents, in a manner commensurate with the features of their faces. He also stressed that this project will contribute to improving the quality of patients ’life, and allowing them to return to their daily lives without any embarrassment.
He added that the opening of the factory will reduce the financial burden on patients, and reduce the need to travel abroad, in addition to saving time and effort. It will also enhance the provision of advanced medical services in the field of ophthalmology, as the hospital has many modern devices such as visual nerve radiation devices and other devices specialized in eye and retina surgery.
