The opening of an electronic blackmail office in Shabwa Governorate

The Undersecretary of the Shabwa Governorate, Fahd bin Al -Dheeb Al -Khulaifi, opened today, Monday, the Office of Combating the electronic blackmail in the governorate, which was implemented by the Women Development Association in cooperation with the Yemen Renin Foundation, as part of the project of the governance of civil society organizations in Yemen (Gocsocs), From the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a move aimed at enhancing digital safety and protecting society from the dangers of electronic blackmail.
During the opening ceremony, Al -Khulaifi’s agent expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Women Development Association and the Yemeni Resonant Foundation, praising the importance of this office in addressing the digital challenges facing society as a result of electronic extortion, and stressing the need to integrate efforts between all concerned authorities to educate individuals and submit Support for victims.
Al -Khulaifi’s agent also renewed the confirmation of the interest of the local authority, headed by Governor Awad bin Al -Wazir Al -Awlaki, with the support of all projects and initiatives implemented by organizations and donors, within the framework of coordination and integration with the local authority to achieve sustainable development in the province.
For its part, Professor Fatima Faraj, President of the Women Development Association in Shabwa Governorate, explained that the opening of this office comes within the continuous efforts to protect women and society from the dangers of electronic blackmail, stressing the association’s keenness to provide awareness and training programs aimed at raising awareness about this issue The task.
Faraj indicated that during the month of January, the association organized a training course to raise awareness of the dangers of electronic blackmail, during which digital protection methods were reviewed and how to deal with extortion cases, stressing the importance of continuing such awareness programs to ensure a safe digital environment for all members of society. /P>
