Aden Health: We monitored 25 cases of cholera, originating from the influx of Africans

The Director General of the Public Health and Population Office in the capital, Aden, held a contract. Dr.. Ahmed Muthanna Al-Bishi held an emergency meeting today, Monday, to discuss the necessary procedures and measures to prevent the spread of the cholera epidemic that threatens the lives of citizens.
The meeting included (Advisor to the Director General of the Health Office in Aden, Dr. Najib Abdel Mawla, the Director of Primary Health Care in the capital, Dr. Awad Al-Awlaki, the Director of Epidemiological Surveillance in the capital, Dr. Majdi Al-Daari, and the Director of Health Education and Information in Aden, Nahwan Al-Aghbry And the health directors of the capital’s directorates, the general director of Al-Sadaqa Hospital, Dr. Raja Ahmed, and the representative of the health committee in the National Assembly of the Transitional Council, Dr. Abdel Fattah Qaed).
The meeting reviewed the emergency response and rapid movement in the isolation building at Friendship Hospital, to provide service and health care for cases of cholera, which reached (25) cases within three days.
The meeting discussed raising maximum readiness, preparing an emergency response plan to combat the disease, supplying the building with medicines and supplies, and preparing the operating room to communicate with security operations to transfer suspected cases of cholera to the isolation building at Friendship Hospital.
The director of the Aden Capital Health Office, A. Dr.. Ahmed Al-Bishi stressed the need for the concerned authorities to act and intervene quickly to contain this outbreak, noting that: “Protecting Aden from danger is everyone’s responsibility.”
