International immigration has registered the displacement of more than two thousand people internally in Yemen since the beginning of this year.
The organization said in a displacement tracking report, issued by Monday, that it recorded 337 families of 2,022 people, at least once, during the period between January 1 and February 22, 2025.
The report added that the displacement cases recorded last month were limited to five governorates, most of which were in Marib Governorate with 204 families (1,224 people), followed by Al -Hodeidah with 72 families (432 people), then Taiz with 57 families (342 people), in addition to 3 families (18 people) in Lahj, and one family (6 people) in Al -Dhalea.
Al -Dhouh Matrown (DTM) of the International Organization of Immigration, that it recorded last week (16-22 February 2025), the displacement of 23 families consisting of 138 people, and a decrease of 68% from the previous week that witnessed the displacement of 73 families ( 438 people).
The report indicated that the new displacement cases recorded last week were mostly; And with 21 families in Marib (presented to her from Al -Bayda and Dhamar), in addition to an internal displacement of one family in Hodeidah, and the same in Taiz.
He added that 52% of new displaced families during the past week need shelter services, 13% for food, while 22% of them lack financial support, 4% for livelihoods, 5% for non -food items (NFI), and 4% for water.
International immigration revealed that security concerns and threats were the main reason behind the departure of 14 families to their original areas; With 61% of the total new displacement cases, while the economic conditions associated with the conflict prompted 9 families; By 39%, for displacement.
It was reported that it had identified 37 additional displaced families that were not covered by the report of the week before last, “These numbers were added to the total cumulative displacement registered since the beginning of the year.”
