A joint meeting held at the government complex in the Shihn Directorate, today, and including the Director General of the Directorate, Mr. Muhammad bin Muhammad Zaabnut, and Mr. Thabet Awad Mubarak, Director General of Shihn Land Port Customs, discussed the problems and challenges facing the Customs Administration and ways of joint cooperation.

The meeting discussed coordination and cooperation efforts between the local authority in the directorate and the customs administration in implementing customs laws and regulations, in addition to the problem of crowding caused by residents while receiving arrivals and departures, and how to facilitate procedures for visitors and departures to the Sultanate of Oman and the Gulf countries through the port.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ali bin Ali Jathham, Deputy Director General for Customs Police Affairs, Mr. Hussein bin Harouf, Director of the Financial Affairs Department, Mr. Saeed Suhail Muslim, Director of Lands, and Brigadier General Kamel Zaabnut, Commander of the Border Guard.
