President Aidarous Qassem Al -Zubaidi, Chairman of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice President of the Presidential Command Council, met today, Saturday, Minister of Youth and Sports Nayef Saleh Al -Bakri.

The leader, during the meeting, reviewed the Minister of Al -Bakri on the progress of work in the ministry, and the performance of its offices in various governorates, in addition to the performance of the Youth, Youth and Sports Care Fund, and its role in supporting youth and sports activities at the country level.

The Leader of Minister Nayef Al -Bakri also listened to an adequate explanation about the level of achievement in the projects implemented by the projects sector in the Ministry, and the relentless efforts to improve sports infrastructure, which contributes to providing an appropriate environment for young people to practice their various sports activities.

Minister Al -Bakri touched in the context of his explanation of the challenges and difficulties facing the implementation of some projects, and the forefront is poor financing, and the scarcity of cash liquidity due to the difficult circumstances the country is going through, stressing in the context the ministry’s keenness to overcome difficulties to ensure the continuity of work according to the plans set.

President Al -Zubaidi emphasized the importance of the pivotal role played by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in overseeing youth and sports activities, noting that young people represent the most important segment in society, and they are the main pillar that is revenue in building the future.

The leader stressed the need to intensify efforts to develop the sports sector, support young talents, and create conditions for them to contribute to achieving sustainable development, and strengthening sports presence at the local and international levels.

President Al -Zubaidi reiterated at the end of the meeting his support for efforts to advance the youth and sports sector, stressing the importance of joint coordination between the various concerned authorities to achieve the desired goals, and to benefit young people and athletes in all governorates.
