A earthquake is the third hit Zabid in Hodeidah

The Center for Monitoring and Study of earthquakes and volcanoes confirmed today that the monitoring stations recorded a earthquake in the Zabid district, south of Al -Hodeidah Governorate.
The center stated that the light tremor that struck Al Hudaydah Governorate was 2.5 degrees on the Richter scale, at 3:28 pm.
He pointed out that the earthquake center was 9 km northwest of the city of Zabid, located in the Yemeni province of Hodeidah.
The head of the Yemeni Center explained that this tremor is the third after the monitoring stations were recorded two light earthquakes, the first with a power of 2.4 degrees, and the second with two degrees on the Richter scale, on Tuesday and last Wednesday.
The last earthquake was hit by Yemen on June 3, 2023, when the American Geological Survey announced that an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale occurred in the Gulf of Aden.
The commission stated that the earthquake center is 184 km northwest of the city of Busasu in Somalia and 238 km southwest of the Yemeni city of Mukalla, where more than 560 thousand people live.
The commission added that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, and there were no reports of injuries or damage.
