The continued protests of Mukalla against the deterioration of services and the high economic crises

Popular protests continue in the city of Mukalla in Hadramout Governorate, eastern Yemen, for the fifth consecutive day, in protest against the deterioration of basic services, especially the electricity crisis and the continuous deterioration in the value of the Yemeni riyal.
Dozens of citizens came out throughout the city to express their anger at the power outage for more than 15 hours a day, amid high temperatures.
The protesters closed the main streets and set fire to car tires in protest against the failure of the local authorities and the government to find solutions to the worsening crises.
They also raised banners condemning the government's failure to manage the economic crisis and demanded that urgent measures be taken to stop the economic collapse and solve the electricity crisis.
