Mismatched blood kills a woman in Lahj

Local and media sources in the city of Al-Houta Lahj said yesterday, Tuesday, that a woman died as a result of a medical error in a hospital in Aden.
These sources explained that the deceased woman, called Shams al-Abdali, from the Dar Abdullah neighborhood in the city, arrived at one of Aden’s hospitals to undergo a caesarean section, where blood that did not match her blood was administered to her, causing her to enter a coma that lasted for three days, according to the source, until she died. Then, after the caesarean section was successful, she gave birth to a baby girl.
According to the sources, the woman’s body was carried to her resting place in the city of Al-Houta, without any details being provided about the measures that were taken regarding the medical error that occurred that caused the death of a woman during her birth by cesarean section by her family or the competent authorities.
