Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Cooperation with Washington on the Houthi classification has not yet reached the coordination stage

The government emphasized that cooperation between it and the United States of America regarding the classification of the Houthis is a foreign terrorist organization that has not yet reached the stage of coordination.
Deputy Foreign Minister Mustafa Numan told Yemen Monitor's website that the government welcomed the American decision in order to send the world a clear message to Houthi that his repressive practice inside Yemen and his absurd adventure outside it will not pass without punishment.
Noman explained the existence of cooperation and exchange of information between Yemen and Washington, but it has not yet reached the stage of coordination with regard to the decision to classify the Houthis terrorists and the start of its implementation.
He added that the government finds difficulty until the moment a full perception of the extent of the damage that will be caused to citizens, especially in the Houthi control areas.
Meanwhile, the government affirmed that achieving a fair, comprehensive and sustainable peace in Yemen requires international support and creating a strategic partnership that translates into practical steps to support the efforts of the Yemeni government and end the Houthi coup.
