Civil Defense in Shabwa succeeds in extinguishing a fire in one of the electric transformers in the Khmer area

The Civil Defense Team in Shabwa Governorate succeeded, at dawn today, from putting out a fire that broke out in one of the electric columns of high pressure in the Khmer area, east of the city of Ataq.
In a statement to him, the Director of the Civil Defense Department in the governorate, Colonel Mohamed Lahrash Al -Deghari, explained that they had received a report of a fire in one of the electric columns as a result of an electrical contact in the general line of electricity that feeds the southern directorates.
Colonel Al -Daghari indicated that the team quickly entered the site of the accident, where he dealt with the fire and put it effectively, which prevented the entire column burning. He stressed that this procedure was necessary to avoid the risk of other columns due to the electrical tension caused by the burning wires.
Colonel Jerash also expressed his thanks to all elements of the civil defense for their quick and professional efforts in dealing with the incident, stressing the importance of the role that the civil defense plays in preserving the safety of citizens and their property.
The Civil Defense Department in Shabwa Governorate is keen to enhance its readiness to face such incidents in the future, and to achieve the highest levels of safety for society.
