The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grendberg, stressed the need to coordinate regional and international efforts to support dialogue and reduce tension in Yemen and move forward in a comprehensive political process.

This came in a statement to his office issued today, Wednesday, at the end of his visit to Riyadh, during which he met the Saudi Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber, the Emirati Ambassador Mohammed Al -Zaabi, the ambassadors of the permanent members of the members (P5) in the Security Council, and senior officials.

The statement pointed out that the discussions focused on developments in Yemen and the region, including the main political dynamics.

According to the statement, Grendberg stressed during his meetings that "the need to coordinate regional and international efforts to support constructive dialogue, reduce tensions, and move forward in a comprehensive political process."

He also emphasized the importance of unity and joint cooperation to reach a sustainable and peaceful solution for the conflict.
