Yemen students in three countries protest to demand the disbursement of their late dues

Dozens of Yemeni students who are scholars abroad carried out simultaneous protest stops in Egypt, India and Hungary, to demand the payment of their late financial dues.
He appealed to students the heads of the Presidential Command Council and the government to direct the specialists to disburse their late dues since 2023.
And the protesting students in their stand in front of the Yemeni embassy building in Cairo raised banners that expressed their suffering from the deterioration of the living conditions due to the delay of the dues, noting that some of them were forced to work in professions that are not worthy of students of science, while others face the risk of evacuating their homes due to the accumulation of debt.
A statement issued by the stand confirmed that the students have not received any dues since the mid -2023, despite the repeated appeals, considering the government silence "indirect participation" in their suffering, and demanding that seven late four -fourths be paid, in addition to the booklet allowance and field research.
The statement demanded an urgent presidential intervention to direct the ministries of higher education and financial education quickly, warning that the continuation of the delay threatens their academic future and offends the image of Yemen abroad.
This student movement comes in conjunction with similar protests in other scholarships, in light of a stifling financial crisis that the Yemeni government suffers, which affected multiple sectors, including higher education and external scholarship.
