Washington warns against dealing with the Houthi ports and waving sanctions on the entities involved

The United States of America, the countries and companies, warned against dealing with the ports under the control of the Houthi group, stressing that they will not tolerate any support to the group, which was recently included in the list of foreign terrorist organizations.
US State Department spokeswoman, Tami Bruce, said in an official statement, that “Washington will not tolerate any country or commercial entity that provides support to foreign terrorist organizations such as the Houthis, including unloading or providing oil in the ports under their control.”
She added that such activities are a “violation of American law”, according to the group’s classification as a terrorist organization.
Although the statement did not mention any specific country or company, the warning tone comes in the context of a continuous American escalation against the Houthi group, since it was reclaimed by terrorist on March 5, a decision that Bruce said is within the “first promises made by President Donald Trump at his office in January 2025”.
The American spokeswoman indicated that the Executive Order No. 14175, which Trump signed, explains that “the Houthi activities are a threat to the security of American civilians and the United States partners in the region, and for global maritime trade.”
The American administration had pledged to use "all available tools" to disrupt the capabilities of the Houthi group, including air strikes, which since mid -March last March on a number of areas controlled by the group.
