Aden.. Destruction of expired food supplies in Sheikh Othman

The competent authorities in the Sheikh Othman District in the capital, Aden, destroyed 2 tons and 390 kilograms of expired food supplies.
The Director of the Public Works and Roads Office in the Directorate, Engineer Hafez Ibrahim Al-Rudaini, explained that the destroyed quantities of spoiled and expired materials from poor storage were recently seized in many shops and commercial warehouses in the Sheikh Othman Directorate by the Environmental Health Department in the Office.
Engineer Al-Rudaini confirmed that the destruction process was carried out in accordance with the applicable legal mechanisms and procedures to ensure that it is not accessed in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens and protect the environment.
The Director of the Public Works and Roads Office in the Directorate, Engineer Hafez Al-Rudaini, also confirmed that the inspection campaign on shops and commercial warehouses - which comes based on the directives of the Director General of Sheikh Othman, Dr. Wissam Muawiyah Saeed - will continue its work to seize any expired or invalid food supplies. It conforms to the specifications and is not valid due to poor storage. He called on citizens not to buy any goods unless they are sure of their suitability, as well as to immediately report any store that sells spoiled materials. The destruction operation at the Bir Naama garbage dump was attended by the Head of the Environmental Health Section of the Public Works and Roads Office in the Directorate, Ahmed Noman, and a number of the department’s employees.
