Launching a workshop for the Community Peace Commission on “Managing and resolving conflicts according to the interests of the parties to the conflict”

This morning, the training workshop was launched for the Community Peace Commission in the city of Mukalla, entitled “Managing and resolving conflicts according to the interests of the parties to the conflict,” which is implemented by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) with funding from USAID.
The workshop continues, in which the Undersecretary of Hadhramaut Governorate, Mr. Hassan Salem Al-Jilani, and the General Director of the Mukalla City Directorate, Brigadier General Abdullah Salem Bayaashout, will participate. 4 days during which participants discuss the concepts of conflict, its culture, ideas, the characteristics of destructive conflicts, constructive conflicts, and the parties.
The Chief Program Officer at the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Yemen, Mr. Muhammad Al-Kathiri, touched on the importance of studying the case to identify the parties to the conflict in terms of the causes and sources of the conflicts.
The authority includes representatives of the local, judicial, security and academic authorities, representatives of parties, political and societal components, and trade and investment sectors, with the aim of coordination and cooperation between the local authority and local forces and influencers to build and maintain peace in the city of Mukalla.
