Units of our southern armed forces carried out a qualitative and rapid security operation in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa Governorate, which resulted in the arrest of one of the terrorist terrorist elements, and another was killed during the clash with it, after accurate intelligence information, monitoring and constant follow -up.

Security sources reported to the "South Shield" website that a joint security force from the Shabwa defense forces and public security, and with the support of the Anti -Terrorism Unit in Abyan Governorate, raided a house in the city with the aim of arresting terrorist elements required.

During the operation, these elements opened fire towards the security force, wounding one of the soldiers, before our forces were able to control the situation, arrest one of the elements and kill another.

This operation comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts made by our southern armed forces in the Shams and Shams of East arrows in combating terrorism, tracking and pursuing its terrorist elements, eliminating it, and providing those involved in terrorist acts to justice, to obtain their fair and deterrent penalty.
