The legitimate government has announced its willingness to open 3 roads in Al Hudaydah Governorate in the west of the country, calling on the Houthis to a similar step.
A statement issued by the media of the government of the government in Al -Hodeidah stated that "an expanded meeting was held in the Hayes district, south of the province, with the deputy head of the Unammah Mission to support the Hodeidah agreement, Mary Yamashita, and the accompanying delegation."
The meeting dealt with "the humanitarian and field conditions in light of the continuous Houthi escalation towards the villages and areas that are inhabited in Hayes, Al -Khokha and Al -Dima in Al -Tahita."
The meeting also discussed "the continued Houthi attacks on international navigation and their lack of commitment to the international agreements and armistice."
At the meeting, the Undersecretary of Al -Hodeidah Governorate, Walid Al -Qadimi, said that "the Houthi militia has intensified its recent escalation, converting the city of Hodeidah into an arena for the international conflict, which increases the suffering of civilians amid the international silence applied."
He added that "the Houthi militia continues to commit crimes and continue to grow mines in its areas of control, as well as its apparent intransigence and its refusal to implement any item of the humanitarian truce agreement, especially with regard to opening roads."
He announced during the meeting, “The local authority is prepared to open 3 roads to alleviate the suffering of citizens and facilitate their transportation, which are:“ Hayes-Al-Jarrahi ”,“ Hayes-Al-Marir ”, and“ Al-Khokha-Al-Faz ”, calling on an unambiguous mission to pressure the Houthis and obligate them to open roads as part of the humanitarian aspects,” according to the statement.
