The Governor of Aden stresses the importance of activating the role of the General Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control

The Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, was briefed on Sunday on the progress of work at the General Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control in Aden.
Lamlas stressed, during a visit he made to the authority’s headquarters, the necessity of fully activating the authority’s role to meet all requirements and needs, and the importance of providing the necessary laboratory devices, equipment and machines for examination and carrying out all tasks, and everything that is necessary to do in accordance with the system and the law.
During the visit, Lamlas discussed mechanisms for urgent response to issues affecting the local community and dealing with them with responsibility and care, noting that the Authority is the trustworthy guardian of society, and must be fully prepared to perform its duty to the fullest.
Lamis toured a number of the Authority’s offices and departments, including the warehouse, laboratories, and available testing equipment, and heard from the Director of the Authority, Hadid Al-Mas, a comprehensive explanation of the roles played by the Authority, in addition to the necessary needs to develop the work and raise the level of the Authority’s work.
He directed the Authority’s Board to prepare a comprehensive action plan to develop work and raise the level of performance, ensuring the achievement of the Authority’s objectives in protecting the consumer, controlling markets, and protecting the environment.
The Director General of the Authority, Hadid Almas, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Governor of Aden for his visit to the Authority and his sound guidance, stressing the Authority’s keenness to implement the Governor’s directives and to make efforts to improve the level of services
