The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor holds a meeting with the sector agents to discuss work issues

His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al -Zaouri, presided over a broad meeting in the Ministry’s General Court in the capital, Aden, which included the ministry’s sectors ’agents and in the presence of the International Labor Organization coordinator, Mr. Ali Dahq, to discuss a number of issues related to work issues.
Minister Al -Zaouri stressed during the meeting the importance of continuing to consolidate institutional work within the ministry, appreciating the commitment and discipline of job cadres, and praising professional performance despite the current challenges. He also stressed the need to coordinate efforts between the sectors to complete the specified tasks in accordance with the planned plan, and to submit periodic reports on their specified times.
The meeting touched on the discussion of the preparation of the reports on the agreements and the work instruments that were canceled and were withdrawn and updated by the Labor Organization and was approved that are waiting.
Coordination mechanism and the enhancement of partnership with the International Labor Organization for the Ministry's Labor Programs and Projects have also been discussed for labor and workforce relations and proper work standards. In addition to discussing the needs of the various sectors for logistical support and capacity building, especially those related to the labor market, occupational health and safety, and empowering women economically and integrating them into the labor market.
For his part, the Coordinator of the International Labor Organization, Mr. Ali Dahaq, praised the continuous successes achieved by the Ministry led by Minister Al -Zaouri, pointing to the qualitative achievement of the launch of the Ministry's electronic platform. He also reviewed the tasks to be implemented during the current year, the most prominent of which is the implementation of family budget surveys and the integration of the workforce, stressing the participation of the ministry team in these activities. Dahq stressed the organization's keenness to enhance joint cooperation with the ministry to achieve the sustainable development goals and exchange experiences in the field of labor practices.
