4 boats carry gunmen chasing a commercial ship in the Gulf of Aden

The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority (UKMTO) announced the registration of the first security incident against a commercial ship in the Gulf of Aden, since former US President Donald Trump took his duties again on January 21.
A report issued by the commission stated that the captain of a commercial ship reported an armed pursuit that his ship was subjected to 100 nautical miles east of Aden, on Tuesday evening.
Al -Balagh explained that four small boats carry gunmen chased the ship for two hours, with shooting towards it, before the boats left the area when it approached the Yemeni coast.
The commission confirmed that the ship's crew was fine and no injuries were recorded, and that the ship continued its journey towards its next destination, while the competent authorities began investigating the circumstances of the accident.
The authority called on all transnational ships to be careful and immediate reporting of any suspicious activities, noting that this incident is the first of its kind in the region since the republican administration returns to the White House, amid increasing security tensions in the territorial waters of Yemen.
This comes in light of the increasing US military operations against the Houthis in Yemen for the second month in a row, to protect international navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
