Director of Sira opens the November 30 men's individual chess tournament

The Director General of the Sirah District in the capital, Aden, Mahmoud bin Jaradi, opened today the November 30 Men’s Individual Chess Championship, which is organized by the Aden Game Branch Federation, under the patronage of the Minister of State, Governor of Aden Governorate, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, and under the supervision of the Youth and Sports Office in Aden Governorate.
48 players from the clubs and districts of Aden Governorate participate in the tournament, which is held on the occasion of Independence Day, November 30, and lasts for 9 days in the local authority building of the Sira District, with a Swiss system of nine rounds, 90 minutes for each player, with an additional 30 seconds for each move.
At the opening of the tournament, which was attended by the head of the community committees, Baseera Muhammad Youssef, the head of the Aden Governorate Chess Federation, Captain Ramzi Qassem, confirmed that the leadership of the Aden Chess Federation branch decided to approve the top five places as the Aden Governorate team and to represent the governorate in internal and external tournaments for the year 2024 AD... in advance.
