The Kuwait Development Fund offers a grant to Yemen with a value of $ 1.5 million

The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed today, Thursday, a grant agreement with the International Organization for Migration, according to which a grant of $ 1.5 million to contribute to financing the project to develop the public services infrastructure in Yemen.
The Kuwaiti Fund stated in a statement published by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), that the proposed project aims to increase the ability of societies to withstand, challenges resulting from the continuous conflict in Yemen, compete for scarce resources and services through the development of community infrastructure, and enhance the ability to deal effectively with the motives for instability and strengthen social cohesion in societies.
The statement indicated that the project consists of small community projects that include the construction and rehabilitation of public schools, health facilities and infrastructure for drinking water and sanitation.
The grant agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Spring meetings for the year 2025 for the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Washington on behalf of the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development, General Manager of Walid Al -Bahr, and on behalf of the International Organization for Migration, Director General of the Organization, Amy Bob.
