World Health: Two million children under the age of five in Yemen suffer from wasting

The World Health Organization said that two million children under the age of five in Yemen suffer from wasting.
The organization reported in a post on its page on the “X” platform that “540,000 children are in need of special and urgent care,” noting that in the past forty years, “wasting levels in Yemen have ranged between 10% - 15%, and these rates are considered very high.” .
She added: “In Yemen, children’s dreams remain greater than all challenges, and on International Children’s Day, let us work to ensure that every child has access to health, education, and protection.”
