Security Belt forces arrested a suspect driving a Daewoo minibus (tank) who ran over a child and fled in the Al-Radwan neighborhood in Sheikh Othman District.

A source in Belt Forces operations confirmed that the child’s father filed a complaint about a civilian vehicle (tank) running over his six-year-old child, who sustained a fracture in her left shoulder and a fracture in her right leg. The driver of the vehicle fled the project area with the crusher.

The source indicated that the Belt Forces were able to arrest the accused (A.M.A.) by identifying the vehicle’s number and specifications through surveillance cameras and eyewitnesses, so that a report about it could then be circulated at all security points in coordination with the traffic police accident official.

The source added that the Belt Forces detained the bus owner, and legal investigations will be completed in order to hand him over to the relevant authorities.
