The Governor of Hadramout, Professor Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, met today in Riyadh, head of the European Union Mission to Yemen, Gabriel Monira Venlis, and the ambassadors of the Republic of Germany in Yemen, Hubert Jayeger,
and the ambassador of the Republic of France, Catherine Crime Camon, in the framework of strengthening cooperation to face security, developmental and economic challenges in Governorate.
During the meeting, the governor reviewed the security, development and economic developments in Hadramout, stressing the importance of strengthening efforts to maintain security and combating terrorism, supporting development plans aimed at improving the basic services of citizens, and stressed the need to dry up the sources of financing of Houthi militias, which are one of the main factors in the continuation of the Yemeni crisis and the exacerbation of the suffering of citizens.
Governor Bin Madi explained that the stability of Hadramout is a vital pillar of the stability of Yemen as a whole, calling on the international community to intensify support to enhance security capabilities and combat terrorism, and to finance development projects that provide job opportunities for young people and limit the effects of war, and he also warned of the attempts of the Houthi militias to destabilize security in the liberated areas by supporting movements targeting security and stability and undermining justice and challenging the provisions of Judgment.
The Governor of Hadhramaut praised the support of the Presidential Command Council headed by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Al -Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Command Council and the members of the Council, and the legitimate government,
praising the positions and support of the Arab coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and their humanitarian, relief and development interventions in the province.
For their part, European ambassadors praised the efforts of the local authority in Hadramout in preserving stability and unity of the class in it as a model for security and combating terrorism, stressing the European Union’s commitment to supporting humanitarian and developmental tracks, in a way that contributes to alleviating suffering and supporting the construction of state institutions.
This meeting comes within a series of meetings led by the governor of Hadramout to enhance partnership with active international bodies, and highlight the urgent priorities of the province in the fields of security and development, in light of the current difficult conditions and the continuous escalation of the Houthi militias against the state of stability and international navigation lines.
