Electricity Abyan warns: running out of fuel threatens an imminent human catastrophe!

Abyan Governorate is witnessing a suffocating crisis as a result of the power outages for the second week in a row due to the depletion of the fuel needed to operate the generation stations, which led to a total stopping of service in most of the provinces
The official spokesman for the Electricity Governorate, Abyan Ihab Al -Markashi, confirmed that the continuation of this situation threatens a and imminent humanitarian catastrophe, warning the concerned authorities of the dire consequences of not addressing the crisis urgently
Al -Markashi pointed out that the suffering of citizens is exacerbated by the high temperatures, especially in the absence of alternatives, which negatively affects children, patients and the elderly
He added that the 30 -megawatled power plant project that has been pledged for years is still a commentator, demanding the government to fulfill its pledges towards this project, which has become mere ink on paper
While Al -Markashi expressed his surprise at the silence applied to the political leadership affiliated with the governorate of Abyan, they did not move towards the electricity crisis and did not even contribute to communicating the voice of citizens to lead to work to reduce the crisis that these characters have become just ghosts that do not sing or fatten from hunger, asking: “How long will these characters remain weak and ineffective?
