The security and judicial services in Al -Mahra Governorate, today, destroyed more than four tons of hashish, and about 200 kg of the Shabu.

The process of destruction took place under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, with the participation of the Security and Police Department, the command of the 137th Infantry Brigade, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the criminal investigation personnel, and a number of officers and members of the province's security, after completing the related legal procedures.

The head of the Appeal Prosecution, Judge Hani Fores Belhaf, explained that the drug that was destroyed was seized during two separate operations, one off the district of Al -Ghaydah, and the other off the coast of the Atab area .. indicating that the seized amount reached about four tons of hashish (Ritnag) and nearly 200 kilograms of the narcotic youth, and its value is estimated at more than 7 billion Yemeni, during which 12 accused of Iranian and different nationalities were seized.

In turn, the Director General of Security and Police, Brigadier General Mufti Suhail Samouda, stated that the quantities that were seized and destroyed today were aimed at destroying young people and children, praising the efforts of the security men, the drug control administration and the criminal investigation men.

For his part, the director of the drug control department, Major Aref Saeed Askari, indicated that these quantities were seized during a series of qualitative operations, and that the destruction process today comes as a coronation of the relentless efforts to protect society from this dangerous scourge.
