The Security Belt forces in the capital, Aden, arrested two members of the terrorist Houthi militia, as they passed through a security checkpoint in the Dar Saad district.
An operational source in the capital belt reported that “members of the security checkpoint of Sector Six arrested a number of suspects who were on board a car coming from one of the areas under the control of the terrorist Houthi militia.”
The source indicated that “preliminary investigations with the accused revealed that two members belonged to the Houthis, and their participation in Houthi military courses, stressing that “the two Houthi members have a direct connection and communication with the group’s senior leadership, and they possess Houthi operational numbers.”
According to preliminary investigations, the defendants (Sh, A, H) and (A, M, Q) admitted to joining the ranks of the Houthi militia, and were assigned to go to the capital, Aden, to carry out monitoring and surveillance tasks within Houthi cells trying to target government agencies and figures. And the military and security forces in the capital, Aden in particular, and the south in general.
Investigations showed that the two Houthi members work for the militia's Preventive Security Service, where they received multiple courses by experts in the field of monitoring, control, making explosive devices, and car bombs.
It is worth noting that the Security Belt forces were able earlier to thwart a number of terrorist plans using Houthi tools, which intended to target civilian and military vehicles and government institutions.
