Al -Iryani: Houthi surrender is not merely a refraction, but rather a practical decline in Iran's influence

Yemeni Minister of Information and Culture, Muammar Al -Iryani, said on Wednesday that the announcement of US President Donald Trump to stop the military operation against the Houthi terrorist militia, after its surrender and its submission to the conditions of the United States, proves that “the language of power alone is the one that Houthi understands.”
The minister stressed in a post on the "X" platform, that what happened was not only the fruit of political understandings or diplomatic pressure, but also a direct result of the accurate military strikes that confused the militia's structure and undermined its capabilities.
He emphasized that the Houthi surrender was not a voluntary choice, but rather "under the weight of pain and exhaustion", pointing out that the attacks that targeted the command and control centers, weapons stores and facilities of assembling ballistic missiles and drones were concentrated and effective, and resulted in paralyzing the Houthi communications system, isolating its field leaders, dropping or raising the deterrent The militia has tried to market it for its elements over the past months.
The minister considered that "Houthi surrender is not merely a refraction to a rebel militia, but rather a practical retreat of Iran's influence in one of the most important areas of its regional expansion," noting that Tehran "linked its expansion project to the Houthis, and used them as a constant pressure and threat to the security of the region and marine corridors."
He also considered that the collapse of this paper under the impact of concentrated strikes sends a clear message to Tehran that the agency's wars started to erode, and that investing in chaos will not pass without a high cost.
He added that Houthi surrender today must be read as a "practical recognition of defeat", and evidence of the fragility of the project that the militia carries, stressing that the arsenal of weapons and propaganda that accumulated it over the past years can be dropped in days when the will is available.
The minister stressed that this moment represents a "opportunity that should not be wasted" to restore the initiative, put a final end to the militia arrogance, unify the national ranks, and move towards the comprehensive decisiveness that restores the state to consider it, and for the one who stabilizes its stability, and Iran's hand stops tampering with the security of the region.
The US State Department had said in a statement earlier: "The Houthis surrendered and do not want to continue fighting and President Trump agreed to stop the operations against them."
This comes after US President Donald Trump announced that the Houthi group surrendered and informed the United States that it no longer wanted to fight, stressing that Washington would immediately stop the implementation of air strikes in Yemen.
