A local source in the Al-Mualla District in the capital, Aden, today denied what was circulated on social media sites about a murder and theft of property in the Al-Mualla neighbourhood.

A local authority source confirmed that the incident that occurred in the Al-Mualla neighborhood was an assault by a citizen on his neighbor and wounding her in the head. The assault did not cause the death of the victim or the theft of her property, as was rumored.

She explained that the assailant was arrested by the police, was placed in prison, and is being investigated about the incident.

The source stressed that the authority will not hesitate to take the necessary legal measures against anyone who spreads rumors or spreads false information.

He called on citizens to be careful not to spread rumors, and to ensure the accuracy of the information before circulating it.
