The United States threatens to resume its strikes against the Houthis in the event that its ships are targeted

The United States of America threatened to resume its punitive strikes against the Houthi terrorist militia, in the event that its existing or passers -by ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden resume.
The list of the US permanent delegate to the United Nations said; Dorothy Xia, in her speech during the open discussion of the Security Council on the enhancement of maritime security, on Tuesday: "The United States has taken punitive measures to protect freedom of navigation in the face of the Houthis, who retracted the attacking of American ships under pressure, but they will face other punitive strikes if they return to attack our ships."
This comes two weeks after US President Donald Trump announced the suspension of the military operation against the Houthis, which started on March 15, after what the Houthi “surrendered” said and announced their intention to stop targeting American ships.
Xia added that maritime security and economic prosperity face many threats, some of which come from terrorist groups, such as the Houthis supported by Iran.
She continued: “For example, the Houthis terrorized the Red Sea crossing movement and the Gulf of Aden for years.
American diplomacy emphasized that Iran was the one who enabled the Houthis to threaten the navigation movement in the Red Sea, "and this is mainly due to its continued supply of weapons in a clear challenge to the Security Council resolutions, stressing that the council does not tolerate this challenge, and to punish Iran for its violation of the sanctions.
She pointed out that the Houthis' continued arms obtaining the Security Council resolutions. The United States now sees evidence that the Houthis, with their support for the youth movement, are getting bilateral ingredients and images from China.
Xia called on member states to provide financial support to the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism (UNVIM), which said, "It could be a decisive tool in preventing those weapons from reaching the Houthis via marine roads"
She pointed out that the international mechanism succeeded earlier this month, by intercepting four shipping containers loaded with illegal materials directed to the Houthi control ports.
