Al -Sharjabi, Lams, and the Deputy Minister of Cooperation in the Dutch Foreign Ministry, see the conditions of water in Aden

The Minister of Water and Environment, Eng. Tawfiq Al -Sharjabi, and the state, the governor of Aden Ahmed Lams, briefed with them the Deputy Minister of International Cooperation at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs Grotin Hess, and the Dutch Ambassador Janet Siben, on the conditions of the water sector, especially in Aden Governorate.
During their visit to the Al -Barzakh area of Khormakser district, from the Director General of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Aden, Eng. Mohamed Bakhbar, they met the current status of the water sector in Aden Governorate, and the needs of projects and challenges facing the institution and the course of work in the water sector in general.
They also visited the project of establishing a collection water tank, "First District" in Al -Barzakh area, which costs 2 million and 749 thousand and 865 euros, funded by the German Development Bank and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which is implemented by the Social Fund for Development through the Dom International Company.
Minister Al -Sharjabi stressed the importance of supporting all international partners and donor institutions for the efforts of the Yemeni government in developing the water sector, by providing financing to implement water projects, given the needs of the water sector in Aden for many projects such as projects to increase water productivity, and the establishment of new tanks, in addition to the rehabilitation of the network, which will contribute clearly and directly to alleviating the suffering of citizens in Aden.
For his part, the support provided by the Dutch government for the water sector in Aden .. stressing that this support comes in a very important timing, and reflects an international commitment to support efforts to improve infrastructure and basic services in the city .. indicating that the water sector is one of the most prominent service sectors that touch the daily needs of citizens, and that Dutch support will contribute directly to enhancing the stability of services and improving the quality of life in residential neighborhoods .. Pointing out the importance of continuing partnership with donors in the implementation of priority projects for the local community.
After the visit, the Minister of Water and Environment, Eng. Tawfiq Al -Sharsbi, and Deputy Minister of International Cooperation at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held in the presence of Deputy Foreign Minister Mustafa Al -Numan, a consultative session that included various aspects of the partnership between the Ministry and the Dutch side, including projects under implementation and scheduled projects within the framework of the integrated water resources and water and sanitation projects, as well Aden, in addition to the rehabilitation, training and partnership programs with scientific research centers and universities in the field of water and the environment.
The Secretary of El -Sharjabi appreciated the efforts of the Dutch Kingdom to support the water sector in our country.
For its part, Grotin Hayes affirmed the Dutch government's commitment to supporting Yemen and the continuation of partnership programs in the water and environment sectors.
