47 new cases with dengue, cholera, measles, and 3 deaths in the coast of Hadramout

A government statistic reported that dozens of new cases were monitored suspected of dengue, measles and cholera in the districts of the Sahel in Hadramout Governorate, east of Yemen, within less than ten days.
The Department of Endowment Imprisonment at the Health Office in the Coast of Hadramout said, in a recent statistic issued on Monday, that the total cumulative cases on suspicion of dengue, cholera and measles in the coast directorates reached 587 cases, during the period between January 1 and May 22, 2025.
According to the statistic, these cases have increased from 541 cases on May 13 to 587 cases on 22 of the same month, an increase of 47 new cases during the past nine days, in addition to three new deaths during the same period.
The Department of Epidemiology added that among the total registered cases, 4 of which were confirmed by dengue fever with a rapid laboratory examination (two cases in the city of Mukalla, a case in Gail Bawazir, and the same in the Dis), in addition to 4 deaths in the measles (2 in the dice, one in Mukalla, and one between the expatriate cases).
The statistic showed that most cases were dengue fever and 275 suspected cases; Mukalla topped the list with 106 cases, followed by Brom Mifa’a (75), then Gail Bawazir (22), Hajar (21), Al -Mukalla rural (19), Al -Days (12), in addition to 7 cases in Al -Shahr, 6 in Gail Bin Yamin, 4 cases of expatriates, and 3 in Dawan.
The Department of Epidemiological Monitoring explained that the cases of measles were increased to 211 cases, most of which were recorded in the city of Mukalla (51 cases), followed by Al -Dis (48), then Gail Bawazir (44), Al -Shahr (25), and 18 cases in Brum Mifa'a, Al -Raida and Qasraar (equal between them), and 7 cases in Gail Bin Yamin, and 6 Al -Dhaleh, two cases in Dawan, in addition to 3 cases in a stone, are resurrected, and the countryside of Mukalla (at a rate of one in each of them).
The statistic revealed that the cases of cholera suspicion reached 101 cases in only five directorates, namely: Hajar (49 cases), BROM Mifa (45), the city of Mukalla (6), 4 cases in Gail Bawazeer, and one case in Al -Shahr, in addition to 6 cases of expatriates, while no case was confirmed by laboratory examination or deaths related to the epidemic.
The Department of Epidemiology confirmed that about 99% of the cases recorded in the three diseases were similar to recovery, as they numbered 581 recovery cases, while 62% of the measles cases were inappropriate and did not receive any dose of the vaccine.
