The streets of the city of Aden have been witnessing, for months, a wide spread of excavations in a number of vital roads, which caused obstruction of traffic and endangering the lives of citizens.

These fossils are concentrated in the directorates of Crater, Mansoura and Sheikh Othman, without the presence of warning signs or a clear timetable to finish the work, which exacerbated the suffering of the population.

A number of citizens and drivers of vehicles expressed their dissatisfaction with the status quo, stressing that the excavations caused their cars to destroy and delay their work, especially at peak times.

Some also pointed to the absence of coordination between the concerned authorities, where some projects begin and leave without completion, which turns the streets into traffic traps and threats to the safety of passers -by.

For their part, activists and citizens of the local authorities called for the speedy intervention to put an end to this chaos, and to hold the authorities responsible for neglect and delay.
