Archeology expert reveals a Yemeni bronze statue offered for sale in Sanaa

The researcher and expert in Yemeni archaeology, Abdullah Mohsen, revealed information that a rare Yemeni bronze statue of sale in Sanaa, which is under the control of the Houthis.
Mohsen explained, in a post on his Facebook page, that he received information from several sources stating that there is a bronze archaeological statue, more than a meter in length, offered for sale, and in his form the Yemeni bronze statues preserved in a number of international museums.
added that attempts to obtain a picture of the statue were stumbled due to the prevention of filming, but he continues to collect accurate information about the piece and its source, calling for the speed of moving to confiscate it and hand it over to the National Museum.
Mohsen pointed out that the looting and illegal exploration of antiquities increased during the war years, which led to the smuggling of many rare Yemeni historical pieces, and selling them in international auctions or online, amid a clear absence of official control.
