Egypt Foreign Minister stresses the necessity of resuming the dialogue course to solve the Yemeni crisis

The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel-Ati, stressed the necessity of resuming the path of the Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue to reach a political settlement of the crisis that enjoys compatibility from different forces, and preserves the unity of the country.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated that on Sunday, Abdel -Ati met with the Special Envoy of the Secretary -General of the United Nations to Yemen, Mr. Hans Grendburg, during the minister’s visit to the Jordanian capital, Amman.
Abdel-Ati stressed "Egypt's position that calls for the necessity of resuming the path of the Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue to reach a political settlement of the Yemeni crisis that enjoys consensus from various Yemeni forces, preserves the unity of Yemen, ends the humanitarian crisis, and achieves the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people."
The Egyptian Minister praised the "Omani mediation that led to the ceasefire agreement in Yemen with the United States," expressing the aspiration to sustain the agreement and lead to the resumption of navigation in the Red Sea of its normal rates.
Abdel -Ati noted the importance of the security and stability of Yemen, the importance of Egyptian national security and the security of the region. He also listened to the UN envoy for the results of his contacts during the recent period with the Yemeni and regional parties, and his appreciation for the possibility of progress in the level of resuming the political process in Yemen.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister emphasized the Egyptian support for legitimacy in Yemen, noting that Egypt hosts large numbers of Yemeni citizens on its soil.
