Saudi Arabia: 4 Yemenis arrested on charges of smuggling qat

On Friday, the Saudi security authorities announced the arrest of 4 border security violators of Yemeni nationality, for attempting to smuggle (60) kilograms of the narcotic khat plant.
It revealed in a statement that the border guards’ ground patrols in the Al-Dair sector in the Jazan region had seized the four defendants, confirming the completion of the initial legal procedures against them, and handing them and the seized items over to the competent authority.
