A military source said that a soldier from the Southern Armed Forces was martyred and a number of other soldiers were injured as a result of a security patrol being targeted with three explosive devices in the Wadi Omran area of ​​Abyan Governorate.

The source indicated that the attack occurred while the security patrol was carrying out a routine mission in the aforementioned area, and the explosion caused the death of a soldier and seriously injured a number of others.

Abyan Governorate is witnessing an escalation in terrorist acts and security threats, as armed groups are active in it targeting security forces and civilians, and the southern forces are working to strengthen security measures and intensify efforts to eliminate terrorism and impose stability in the governorate.
