Most of the people of Aden stopped buying the sacrifices of the feast due to the high cost of living

The city of Aden is witnessing a great reluctance of citizens to buy sacrifices as Eid al -Adha approaches, in light of the aggravating economic collapse and a sharp rise in the prices of meat and livestock, which made many families unable to secure the simplest Eid needs.
Citizens of Eid describes this year as "faded" as a result of the difficult living conditions that are ravaged by the country.
A number of livestock dealers confirmed that the turnout is very weak compared to the past years, as the price of one sacrifice exceeded half a million Yemeni riyals, an amount that exceeds the ability of a wide segment of the population, especially the employees, some of whom have not received their salaries for months.
They indicated that they suffered great losses due to the stagnation in the market.
The people attribute this unprecedented decline in buying sacrifices to the deterioration of purchasing power and increasing poverty and unemployment rates, stressing that their priorities today are limited to providing food and medicine only.
