The Coast Guard honors a number of officers and soldiers

Chief of the Coast Guard Service, Major General Khaled Al-Qamali, today, Saturday, honored the crew of the Coast Guard patrol boat Aden/2602, in appreciation of their efforts in combating smuggling and securing shipping lanes on the Yemeni coast.
Major General Al-Qamali praised the efforts of the honorees in the process of liberating and securing the port of Mocha and Bab al-Mandab and combating smuggling of all kinds, stressing the necessity of maintaining the readiness of the boat to perform the assigned tasks and making the most of the training and qualification opportunities provided to continue raising awareness of the importance of maritime security and combating maritime crime. And carry out tasks with high professionalism and efficiency, keeping pace with challenges and threats.
After that, certificates of honor were distributed to “28” non-commissioned officers and soldiers, including the divers team, four of whom were martyred in the explosion of a sea mine belonging to the terrorist Houthi militia on the Sana’a patrol boat in front of the port of Mokha, while the rest of the crew sustained various injuries.
