Dr. Sufyan Qasim Thabet, Director General of the Office of Industry and Trade in the capital, Aden, sent memorandums to the directors of the Offices of Industry and Trade in the capital’s directorates, and to the Commander of the Security Belt Forces, and the Commander of the Capital Circle Forces, prohibiting the circulation of goods bearing the LGBT slogan.

The circular, a copy of which was obtained by "Scoop 24", stated that any merchandise bearing the gay flag, consisting of six colors, namely red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and lily, would be seized.

Any merchandise is also seized, even if it consists of three or four colors, in cooperation and coordination with the general directors of the local authority and the security authorities.

The circular confirmed that this decision comes within the framework of the local authority’s commitment to Islamic and moral values, and preventing the spread of alien ideas in southern society.
