Minister of Defense: The international community's leniency behind Houthi threats to maritime safety

Yemeni Defense Minister Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari renewed, on Monday, the warning of the seriousness of the terrorist Houthi militia’s threats to maritime shipping routes and global energy supply lines through acts of piracy and targeting ships.
Al-Daari said in two separate meetings with the US Ambassador to Yemen, Stephen Fagin, the Military Attaché, Stuart Peebles, the British Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif, and the Military Attaché, Jonathan Frame, that these foolish things committed by the militia are a result of the international community’s leniency with our continuous warnings.
Minister Al-Daari confirmed that the Iranian regime continues to supply the Houthi militias with weapons to implement its plans to destabilize the security and stability of the region in cooperation and coordination with the terrorist organizations Al-Qaeda and ISIS.
For his part, the American Ambassador and the British Ambassador affirmed their countries’ support for efforts to bring peace and reach a comprehensive solution to the conflict in Yemen.
