Kuwait Relief Company inaugurates the Al-Sabeel Water Project in Al-Qubaita

This morning, the Kuwait Relief Society, together with the local authority, opened the Al-Sabeel Water Project in Al-Qubaita District, Lahj Governorate, which benefits more than 10,000 citizens.
The project comes with generous funding from the Kuwait Relief Society and implementation of its office in Yemen. The project consists of building a tank with a capacity of 100 cubic meters, in addition to providing submersibles and pumps powered by solar energy with a total capacity of 16 kilowatts, and creating a pumping pipe for the tank and pipes for the distribution network with a total length of 5,400 meters. .
More than 10 villages adjacent to the well and reservoir will benefit from the project, with a population of more than 10,000 people..
At the opening, Engineer Jamal Al-Nouri, Chairman of the Relief Committee of the Kuwaiti Society, was briefed on the components of the project, listening to a detailed explanation from Engineers Adel Mukhtar, Director of Projects at the Society’s office, and Khaled Al-Huraibi, Water Projects Consultant, about the mechanism of the project’s work, its components, and how to deliver water to the beneficiary villages.
For his part, Engineer Abdulqawi Ali Hassan, Director General of Planning, Policies and International Support at the Ministry of Water, praised the work of the Kuwait Relief Society in the water sector, which is considered one of the sustainable projects that serve a large segment of society.
