The Governor of Socotra, Engineer Raafat Al-Thaqali, and with him the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, member of the Presidency, Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, witnessed today a solemn military parade of the Southern Armed Forces at the camp of the First Marine Brigade, in celebration of the fifty-sixth anniversary of the glorious National Independence Day. November thirtieth.

During the parade, Governor Al-Thaqali saluted the southern armed forces for their high morale, discipline, and readiness to confront the challenges and dangers facing the nation.

Al-Thaqli pointed out that today’s battle is a battle to restore a national identity and a future promising goodness and hope for all the sons of the proud southern people.

For his part, Secretary-General Al-Jaadi conveyed the greetings of President Commander Aidaroos bin Qasim Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, Vice President of the Presidential Council, to the people of Socotra Governorate.

Al-Jaadi praised the efforts of the southern armed forces in defending the homeland and protecting its gains.
