Launching the smart ID card system in Al Mahra

The Governor of Al-Mahra Governorate, Muhammad Ali Yasser, and the Head of the Civil Status and Civil Registry Authority, Sanad Jamil Muhammad, inaugurated today in the city of Al-Ghaydah the civil status system for issuing ID cards with a smart chip.
This step comes within the framework of achieving the government’s goals in developing the field of technological and electronic aspects and supplying the country’s information infrastructure.
The governor stressed that the project represents a unique experience and is in line with the government’s goals in the technological and electronic field, which contributes to developing the information aspect.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Interior for his interest and keenness to link the skilled people to this system with the main center.
The head of the department indicated that the system included all liberated governorates, calling on citizens to obtain a smart card that can be used in several fields.
The inauguration activities were attended by the Assistant Director of Security and Police, Colonel Murad Muhammad Kalshat, the Director of the Department’s Branch in the Governorate, Colonel Salem Rabie Kalshat, and a number of security leaders.
