President Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received this evening the American envoy to Yemen, Mr. Tim Linder King.
The meeting reviewed the regional and international efforts aimed at ending the war and bringing peace to our country and the initiatives proposed for a solution. In this regard, President Al-Zubaidi renewed the support and backing of the Southern Transitional Council and the Presidential Leadership Council for those efforts, stressing the importance of reaching a comprehensive ceasefire and engaging in a political process. The meeting also discussed developments in the political, economic, and humanitarian situation in our country in light of the Houthi militias continuing their military escalation on various fronts.
