Al-Zubaidi participates in the World Climate Summit in the Emirates

The Vice President of the Presidential Council and President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, arrived today, Friday, in Dubai, in the UAE, to participate in the World Climate Summit “COP28”.
Al-Zubaidi will participate in the presidential activities of the summit, at the Dubai Exhibition Center - Expo, which will begin with the opening of the World Climate Action Summit, in the presence of a large number of presidents, leaders and representatives of international organizations concerned with combating climate change, led by the Secretary of the United Nations, António Guterres.
Al-Zubaidi intends to highlight the deteriorating humanitarian situation and the extent of the environmental risks resulting from the war, during his participation in the summit’s work, in order to mobilize efforts to support our country to mitigate the devastating effects of the conflict on the environment, natural resources, and infrastructure.
Al-Zubaidi also discusses ways to enhance the funding provided by donor countries to help our country confront the effects of climate change and develop national capabilities to confront its effects and mitigate its repercussions.
